The SAT is probably the most important test you will take as a student. It is the most widely accepted entrance exam when applying to colleges and universities throughout the nation. The SAT is offered six times per year in locations throughout the state of Florida. Most students should take the SAT for the first time in the spring of their junior year of high school, but you should plan on taking the test multiple times to maximize your score. The SAT consists of three major sections: writing, math, and critical reading. The sections of the SAT are divided as follows:  the writing section includes a student-written essay, and two grammar portions which also include word choice and usage. The math section has three parts which test basic arithmetic, algebra I and II, as well as geometry.  The critical reading section tests pronunciation, vocabulary and reading comprehension. The SAT also includes an unscored experimental section.
